The Rumor
As of June 2022, the Las Vegas Stadium Authority denied having a courtroom and jail on-site at the stadium. The stadium will have a processing/holding room for offenders by security personnel and Metro Police if contracted as support for any event. Any suspects apprehended will be taken to selected offsite detention facilities for proper handling and processing.
Arrested and Booking at Allegiant Stadium
Allegiant Stadium may have security with police officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, depending on the type of event. The stadium has its own in-house security team of privately licensed security guards to take care of Raiders football games and other Allegiant Stadium events.
The private security personnel is free to perform the act of citizen’s arrest on individuals who clearly violate the law. After arresting an individual, private security personnel would defer to Metro police officers to physically detain and book the suspect.
The bottom line, people arrested at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas will be transferred to the Clark County Detention Center (CCDC), which is minutes from the stadium. Individuals can then bail out and remain out of custody until their criminal case is resolved.
What Happens at CCDC – Clark County Detention Center
After you are booked at the Clark County Detention Center (CCDC), you are allowed to request Bail. For the defenders unable to bail themselves out, they are given a hearing in 72-hours hearing, which happens three days after the arrest. The hearing in 72 hours is called your initial appearance hearing, where defendants are formally arraigned in court before the judge. The defendants, through their attorney, can also request the judge to reduce bail or release the defendant on their own recognizance.
Most charges at an Event are misdemeanors carry a $1,000 bail, but gross misdemeanors like battery and some sort of violence in the first offense carry $3000.
Defendants who cannot afford bail can hire bail bond agents. Bail bond agents by state law charge 15% of the bail amount.
